Easter afternoon/evening at Lucy's

We had the smallest Easter gathering that I can remember, but it was so much fun. Lucy kindly hosted us who had not made other plans. :) The kids had an Easter egg hunt. We had lunch and hung out for most of the day.

The older kids are always so nice to the younger kids. I have a special group of cousins. Here Mandi is helping Alex get an egg from under the slide.

Alex is excited that the egg is full of jelly beans! I don't think he has ever had jelly beans, but they're candy so they have to be good.

Jasmine found a basketball egg.

Alex is most excited about his football egg.

Here are all the cousins...and second cousins...and honorary cousins. Marcos, Mandi holding Nathan, Trevor, Me holding Alex and Jasmine.

Easter morning - dressed for church

Here is our family (minus me as I am taking the pictures) all dressed up for Easter, the day we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Sadly, on our way to church Alex told us that Easter was all about Charlie Brown. When he learned it wasn't about Charlie Brown, he tried Linus. He went through most of the Peanuts gang before finally learning that the correct answer was Jesus. Jasmine worked with him on it while we drove to church. If they were quizzed in Sunday school, he might have given the correct answer.

Easter morning

Here are the kids Easter baskets. Alex's is on the left, Nathan's is in the middle and Jasmine's is on the right.
Here is Nathan opening his basket.

Here is Alex enjoying his chocolate soccer egg.

Here is Jasmine trying on her bunny ears.

Here they are enjoying their bubbles outside before getting dressed for church.

Dying Easter Eggs

Jasmine chose a sparkly, glittery egg dying kit.

Alexander chose a sport ball themed egg dying kit.

As you can see, they both had a great time!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We had green scrambled eggs, green macaroni and cheese, broccoli and kiwi for dinner. It doesn't look great, but it was green. Alex wouldn't eat the green eggs and Jasmine wouldn't eat the green macaroni. Actually, I had a bit of a hard time with the macaroni and eggs, myself.

Alex was also dressed up for St. Patrick's Day, but he wore different clothes to bed. So, here are Jasmine and Nathan in their green outfits. Jasmine's nails are also painted green.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Every year our neighborhood has a cool Easter egg hunt. They have lunch and snacks and lots of activities for the kids. They enjoyed some sno cones and chips and hunting for eggs. They even won a couple of the top prizes. :)

Afternoon riding bikes

Here is Nathan relaxing in his cool onsie from a winery in Blanco.

The boys are helping grandpa fix Alexander's bike.

Grandpa was trying to teach Jasmine to ride a bike. She'll need some training wheels. :)

Here is Alexander doing pretty well with his training wheels.

Here is how the bike riding ended. My dad and I carrying the bikes home.

Nathan rolled over

Nathan rolled over and I wasn't thinking clearly enough to video it. However, I did get these incredible indisputable photos.

Here he is after the first time he rolled over. He was laying on his back, and is now on his tummy.

This is what he is moving towards.

Here is he trying to figure out how to do it again.
See! He did it! Now, he back on his back AND close to the Princess Wishes game. :)

Nathan eating oatmeal

Nathan went to the doctor today, and he told us that we can start giving him oatmeal. So far Nathan hasn't been as interested in food as Jasmine and Alex, but we are exciting so we now have oatmeal and the entire product line of stage one baby food.

Here is Nathan's food all neatly arranged and ready to try.

Here is the thanks we get for trying. This happened seconds after Christophe said, "I hope he doesn't get any on my pants." It was pretty funny.

Christophe is feeding him. Then the kids wanted to try.

So, he didn't really like it. We'll keep giving him some periodically until he shows some interest.

Cute kids

The kids were lounging around one morning and all ended up in the same place. Alex is reading his ABC book that will soon become a favorite and Jasmine is reading The Cat in the Hat Comes Back. Aren't they cute?

Happy Birthday, Jennifer!!

Happy 31st Birthday, Jennifer. :) Congratulations on finally being able to sit in the front seat! You are offically older than me now. Enjoy it while you can.

Here is a picture of your birthday present, since it has undoubtably not arrived in the mail yet.

Papa really wanted to take the video instead of sing, but this is how much he loves you. :) All you need now is a cake. Make a wish.

Since we have dropped the camera a few too many times, I now have to hold the video button in place for it to work. I videoed everyone singing, but mom said that I had to sing, too. Here is the compromise.

Grandpa the jungle gym

The first picture turned out better as far as everyone having their eyes open, but it was almost too dark to see. Here is grandpa with the Landa kids. Just wait until June when we can add Christian to the mix.

Nathan is 4 months

He looks a little surprised, but here he is at 4 months. He's in his jeep chair, which he has just recently begun to enjoy.
