Our first stop was a festival in our neighborhood. The kids played on a bunch of bouncy games. We had hot dogs and popcorn and a generally good time....until the mosquitos showed up. Then we left for trick or treating.

Halloween
Here are our costumes. Christophe is an ER doctor...or maybe a nurse. Jasmine is Nancy Drew. Alexander is a football player for the WALL-E team. Nathan is Superman. I am a much older brunette version of Fancy Nancy.

Alex couldn't climb up by himself. Jasmine taught him how and they did great.
WALL-E Costume
Alex wanted to be WALL-E for Halloween, but we couldn't find a costume. He accepted being a football player on the WALL-E team. Last week Christophe made a WALL-E costume for him as a surprise. It wasn't incredibly comfortable, so he chose not to wear it for trick or treating. He was was very excited about it. So was Jasmine as it turned out. :)

At the Pumpkin Patch
While Christophe was in town visiting this weekend, we took the kids to a pumpkin patch. Here are a few of the pictures.

In this picture, Alexander was upset because he had underestimated the weight of the pumpkin. He's saying, "It's too heavy!" over and over.
Jasmine had just knocked over their scarecrow. She's trying to fix it. She was unsuccessful. I went to help her, and also failed at making him stand up correctly. We left him sleeping on the pumpkins.

Today's the day
Yesterday was the day, but due to a mix up with spark plugs today became the day. Yesterday, we loaded everyone up to head to Austin to move Chris into his brand new swanky apartment, but on the way the Mustang began driving funny. Not funny in a good way. Christophe had changed the spark plugs in the Mustang earlier in the week, but evidently they were cheap ones that didn't work well. So, we spent the rest of yesterday first learning that was the problem and subsequently fixing the problem. By the time all was said and done, it was much too late to go to Austin. So, today has become the day he will go to Austin. Unfortunately, we will not all get to see his new apartment until later. But we did get an extra day at home with, which I think everyone has enjoyed. He will drive up there today and begin his new job tomorrow.
