Mr. Funny

Right now, Alexander's favorite books are from the Mr. Men series with Mr. Funny being his most favorite. Everyone in the family has a corresponding name that he and Jasmine have come up with. Alexander is Mr. Funny. Jasmine is Little Miss Sunshine. Christophe is Mr. Happy. I am Little Miss Bossy or Little Miss Wise depending on who you ask and when. In this picture, Alex fell asleep for his nap while reading Mr. Funny.

The Boys

Here is Nathan hanging out in his jumpy thing. He can actually sit up and use this now.

Alex dressed himself today. Well, he brought me the clothes he wanted to wear. He was particularly excited about his giraffe boots.

Jasmine visits Matzke

We are considering the possibility of starting Jasmine off in first grade. We wanted to see a first grade class, and show Jasmine what an elementary class is like. My aunt Lucy is a teacher at Matzke and had a very kind first grade teacher friend, Ms. Bettencourt, that let Jasmine come sit in on a class. She had the best time!

Buddy Bear

Jasmine's preschool teacher, Ms. Sara, lets the kids take Buddy Bear home for a weekend. While they have him, they fill out Buddy Bear's travel journey writing about his time with them. Here are a couple of Jasmine's pictures. His real adventure was going to Blanco with Jasmine and my parents, but this was his pre adventure.

This is April, Jewel and Buddy Bear. Jewel is Jasmine's first Webkinz, a Christmas gift from her friend, Sarah. April was Jasmine's first purchase where she earned her money doing chores around the house and saved up for it. We are very proud of her.

Jasmine thought it was funny that Buddy Bear could sit in Nathan's Bumbo chair. If you have a three month old, this is a great chair!

Nathan's first night in his crib

He finally slept better through the night -- not well, but better. As it turns out, he likes to turn on his side and tummy, but was unable to in the bassinet. He would have moved sooner, but his crib was being used for storage.

Nathan is 5 months old!

Here is Nathan at 5 months old with his adoring brother. He still doesn't sleep through the night, or through two hours, but he sure is cute and smiley!

Jasmine signs up for kindergarten!

Today we signed Jasmine up for kindergarten. She was so very excited. We walked to the school and signed her up. Everyone was incredibly nice, and Jasmine thought it was fun to see inside the school. Go Farney Falcons!

Jasmine really enjoyed the library. She read all kinds of books including a feminist book featuring the invention of the bloomers.
