June 11

The morning started with breakfast and playing. Christian likes to tackle Jasmine...and anyone else who will play tackle with him.

The kids have been asking Jennifer to take them to the playground. We found 15 minutes on our way to Christian's pseudo birthday party to play. It was Christian's first real introduction to Texas summer heat.

We did not last the full 15 minutes. Here we are taking a picture in the butterfly garden on our way back to the car.

We went to ITZ to meet the cousins for Christian's early birthday party. They started with pizza and then did a lot of playing. Although you can't tell it from this picture, Christian and Alex were less than social today. Hopefully that will improve on Sunday when we meet up with everyone again.

He's working on what might be his second cupcake from his Elmo cupcake cake. You can see the Boomerang cartoon screen in the background. The kids enjoyed the cartoons.

Nathan was irritable, so I wanted to get a picture of his irritability. Can you see it? Me neither. He's quite the charmer when he wants to be.

After ITZ, Jennifer and I took Jasmine and Nathan to see Monica's new house. It is beautiful, by the way. Christian and Alex were home with mom taking a nap. They had just woken up right before we arrived. Alex sat in his favorite chair to watch Yo Gabba Gabba and invited Christian to sit with him. Aren't they cute?

The boys are getting along quite well this trip.
